Dr. Destiny Novakovic is a licensed psychologist with a mission to empower individuals to reach their full potential through clinically grounded, evidence-informed, and neuroaffirming psychological care. As the founder of Nova Psychological Center, she provides assessment, therapy, and consultation services that honor each individual’s unique strengths, experiences, and ways of thinking. Dr. Novakovic is dedicated to fostering growth, resilience, self-understanding, and well-being in every client she serves.

PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS
Dr. Novakovic provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and other developmental, behavioral, personality, and mental health concerns.
SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY
Dr. Novakovic provides therapy for individuals experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Treatment focuses on building skills, improving daily functioning, and fostering healthy growth.

01. Children And Adolescents
Assessment and therapy services for children and adolescents with developmental, behavioral, learning, social, or emotional concerns. Services are designed to help young people build on their strengths while supporting growth across home, school, and community settings.
02. Neurodivergence among Women
Many girls and women who are neurodivergent develop masking and compensation strategies to navigate life and social expectations, which can contribute to missed, delayed, or inaccurate diagnoses. Assessment and therapy services focus on understanding each individual’s unique experiences, including masking, compensation, autistic burnout, executive functioning challenges, sensory differences, and support needs through a neuroaffirming lens.
03. BIPOC Communities
As a member of the BIPOC community, Dr. Novakovic is passionate about increasing access to high-quality mental health and assessment services for historically underserved communities. Assessment and therapy services are provided with cultural humility and awareness, recognizing the impact of lived experiences, systemic barriers, and cultural context while highlighting each individual’s strengths and goals.
Payment
Dr. Novakovic is credentialed with major insurance providers in Ohio and Virginia, including Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Carelon. Services provided outside of Ohio and Virginia are currently offered on a private pay basis.
Standard out of pocket fees for services are the following:
- Mood and Anxiety Evaluation ($400)
- ADHD Evaluation ($1000)
- Autism Evaluation ($1600)
- Therapy Session ($200/hour)

Psychologist & Owner
Dr. Destiny Novakovic is a licensed psychologist and the founder of Nova Psychological Center. She received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Florida and specializes in pediatric psychology.
Through her education and career, she has supported individuals in schools, community behavioral health clinics, primary care offices, and hospitals in Florida, Nebraska, and Ohio.
She has conducted hundreds of comprehensive evaluations and provided therapy to individuals of all ages to address behavioral challenges, life transitions, anxiety, executive functioning challenges, and more!
Alongside her hospital and university roles, Dr. Novakovic founded Nova Psychological Center to increase access to high-quality behavioral health care services and make evidence-based psychological care available to individuals across the nation. With a deep commitment to providing mental health care, she strives to ensure her clients feel supported and has the resources to reach their full potential.

How long does it take to complete an evaluation and receive a report?
Most evaluations can be completed within a few weeks, depending on how quickly questionnaires and other materials are completed and returned. Once the evaluation is finished, the report is typically ready within about 2 weeks. This gives us enough time to review all results carefully and provide a report that is thorough, personalized, and includes practical recommendations.
